At HUM, we have the ability to draw on individual and collaborative expertise to provide tailored, individualized assessment and treatment for Addiction, mental health, and chronic pain. Our team includes a variety of healthcare professionals who work from one chart and communicate regularly, which means that you do not have to keep sharing your story over and over again.
Our approach to Addiction is also unique as we focus on Addiction as a primary, chronic brain disease that impacts all levels of being and behaviour, rather than focusing on specific behaviours or substances in isolation.
If you are interested in knowing more about us and/or scheduling an appointment, you can contact us by phone, e-mail or fax.
Email: [email protected]
During the initial phone contact, additional information will be collected and an explanation of our services will be provided. Together a decision will be made on appropriate services to address your needs. All new individual clients are encouraged to complete the comprehensive assessment to identify presenting issues and concerns and individualize your treatment.
For organizations, we will determine your needs through telephone or e-mail correspondence to provide customized services
We have fees associated with our comprehensive assessment and ongoing counselling services offered by nurse counsellors, psychologists, and social workers. We have physicians at HUM whose services are covered by Alberta Health Care.
We accept cash, credit card, debit, or e-transfer. If you have benefits coverage, direct billing for a portion or all of your services may be available depending on your insurance provider and plan. If you are not able to cover service fees, we would encourage you to look into Medicard which can provide loans for medical services.
We believe in a holistic approach to health that takes into consideration the biological, emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions. We apply this to each individual and issue in the areas of Addiction, mental health and chronic pain. Awareness in the context of action is important for health and recovery so we attempt to bring this in to each individual and group session, as well as educational sessions that we provide.
