A Dose of Relaxation: Guided meditation
This is your message for the week of December 18, 2016
As a special treat to yourself this holiday season, why not take some time to do a guided meditation? This is a great habit to build into your existing recovery structure. There are so many ways to meditate and relax, this 3-part sequence of body, breath, and stillness is just one example to get you going.
As you prepare to do this meditation, please make sure you have a minimum of 20 minutes available to view the video for the first time and allow yourself to be walked through this relaxation. After that, you can practice the flow on your own using a shorter or longer time frame. I would recommend daily practice to begin to develop the habit and, if you are comfortable and ready to incorporate this more readily into your routine, two times/day provides additional benefit.
