Many of you are familiar with the line from ‘The Promises’ from Alcoholics Anonymous that reads “We shall not regret the past, nor wish to shut the door on it.” It is important to acknowledge the role of the past in our present, especially when the past is manifesting in the here and now. Our history is not something that we can avoid or run away from, though the disease will want you to in order to build up pain and discomfort. In this week’s message, we explore the importance of facing the past and dealing with reality.
