What is unique about HUM?
At HUM, we have the ability to draw on individual and collaborative expertise to provide tailored, individual care. Our team includes a variety of healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, and psychologists who work from one chart and communicate regularly, which means that you do not have to keep sharing the same story over and over again.
Our approach to Addiction is also unique as we focus on it as a primary, chronic brain disease that impacts all levels of being and behaviour, rather than focusing on specific behaviours or substances in isolation.
How do I schedule an appointment?
If you are interested in knowing more about us and/or scheduling an appointment, you can contact us by fax, phone or email.
What happens after I contact HUM?
During the initial phone contact, additional information will be collected and an explanation of our services will be provided. Together a decision will be made on appropriate services to address your needs. All new individual clients need to complete a 3 part comprehensive assessment to identify presenting issues and concerns and individualize your treatment. For organizations we need to determine your needs, often through telephonic or e-mail correspondance, to provide customized services
What services do you provide?
We provide a variety of personal and corporate services, focusing on the areas of Addiction, Mental Health and Chronic Pain. We provide outpatient treatment in the form of individual, couples, family, and group therapy as well as an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). For organizations we provide assessments, customized training, urine drug screening, medical review officer services, and wellness sessions.
How do I pay for your products and services?
Some services are covered by Alberta Health Care and others are fee for service. For these we accept cash, credit card, debit, or e-transfer. For more information about HUM’s policies, including cancellations and fees, please click here
