Recovery Messages and News

Addiction Recovery Now

There is lots of uncertainty in the world and people’s minds with the global pandemic that is happening. Many communities are being asked (or required) to do self-isolation, quarantine, and social distancing. What impact does this have on Addiction and Mental Health? A huge impact.

We encourage you to not forget about your recovery foundation and essentials if you already have a plan established. While the temptation may be to let go of these actions due to stress, fear, and lowered motivation, it is important that you maintain connection to the things that fill you up and ground you. Some people have not yet established a recovery or self-care plan. For people in that situation, we would encourage you to take action now, rather than wait. The longer Addiction and Mental Health symptoms go for untreated, the harder they can be to find recovery from.

Recovery is absolutely possible, now more than ever, and is a necessity to support individuals, families, communities, and the world in healing through and from this global ordeal. Recovery benefits at all levels and all it takes is some small actions of difference. Do what you can and start where you can.

In this video, we explore some of the important elements of recovery and the vulnerabilities that people with preexisting Addiction and Mental Health challenges may be facing.
